Shopify POS is available in Australia with Shopify Payments for in-person card payments, hardware sold locally and plan pricing in Australian dollars. SoloCommerce sets it up and supports it for Australian retailers, remotely for most of the country and on-site in Brisbane.

Shopify sets these prices and changes them from time to time. Check the current figures on Shopify's own pricing page before you budget, and we will confirm which tier you need when we scope the work.
Shopify Payments is the built-in payment provider for Shopify POS in Australia.
Verify the current in-person rate in your Shopify admin. Recent third-party sources put it around 1.75% to 1.95% depending on plan. The rate is charged per transaction, with no monthly terminal rental and no lock-in contract.
Rates, surcharging and settlement times all come up during scoping, and we will walk you through what applies to your store.

POS Go sales ended in Australia in September 2024. Mobile selling on POS Go ends on 26 May 2027, after which the devices switch to countertop terminal mode.
The WisePad 3 suits mobile and market selling. The POS Terminal is the countertop option with its own customer-facing screen.
Tap to Pay works on iPhone and Android in Australia, so staff can take contactless payments on a phone with no reader at all.
Cash Register Warehouse is an authorised Australian reseller for receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers and stands.

Most Australian retailers come to Shopify POS from a system that no longer fits.
